A Kenosha company that manufacturers equipment for the food and pharmaceutical industries will expand to a larger and more modern facility will break ground soon in Pleasant Prairie.

Bio Fab Technologies Inc., co-founded 13 years ago by Mark Schnuck and John O’Connell, makes stainless steel tanks, piping and other equipment, much of which is shipped to drug and food beverage production facilities outside the state and overseas.  It currently leases 1970s-era industrial buildings in Kenosha.

Bio Fab is working with Milwaukee developer Zilber Property Group to build a 50,000-square foot facility in the LakeView Corporate Park in Pleasant Prairie that would serve as the company’s new headquarters.
