Residents began moving into The Malt House, 1009 W. Juneau Avenue, this month.  The project, previously known as Brewery Lofts, converted the former Pabst brewery’s malt house and grain warehouse into 118  apartments on seven floors.

It took 5 years to complete.

Construction costs spiked, a new general contractor was hired, changes were made to the renovation plans, and the development’s ownership changed.  The project was set to completed in June, but supply chain problems led to further delays.

The Malt House’s completion largely wraps up the redevelopment of the former Pabst complex.  Zilber Ltd., led by the late Joseph Zilber, started the redevelopment work at the 21-acre site in 2007.
